DUST2DEATH
In this video I cover the process of putting a vehicle into Alpha 17. I do not cover any Blender or Unity basics. If you have not put anything into the game before I recommend Xyth's excellent suite of Tutorials. [video=youtube_share;1qlX15Kste0]

DUST2DEATH
I hope it helps. Motorcycles and the Gyro/Copters will be roughly the same process, just the bones/structure/vertex groups will change.

bdubyah
Following along to this at the moment. Very helpful! One note, when you are finished setting up the wheel vertex groups in Blender and are selecting the rest of the car for Origin, you can just select all and then run through and hit deselect on all of the wheel groups you make. Saves some time instead of selecting every little face, especially on a higher poly model.
bdubyah
Hey, DUST2DEATH, can I pm you about looking over my vehicle in Blender to see if I've messed something up? I tried but your pm's are full.

Much like selecting a vertex group of the wheel, then snapping the cursor to selected so it grabs the center before playing the wheel bones. I need to redo the tut with the better workflow, but I havent had time. Hey, DUST2DEATH, can I pm you about looking over my vehicle in Blender to see if I've messed something up? I tried but your pm's are full. I just emptied my PM's. Shoot away.
RavenWits
Very Helpful tutorial! Thanks. One Question though, is it possible to make joints (and other stuff that you did in Blender) in Unity? Edit: I've watched the tutorial now. I got my answer. So nevermind. Keep up the good work!
RavenWits
Hey Dust, I've followed your tutorial step by step twice. Then I launch for testing and when I spawn the vehicle I get a NRE error. Could you know anything about that? Thank,.
TSBX
@Ravenwits - Decided to try things on the up-and-up, eh? @Dust2Death - Vehicles are my next area of interest after weapons, so this will come in handy for sure. Thanks for all you do for the community!
