Do you realize how a thread with a poll works? We post OUR own opinions...... Don't like it? fine but don't criticize someone for fulfilling the very purpose that the thread exists for. smh.

btw, when quoting and you remove part of the OP, that IS defined as editing.
To answer you, I play SP only, noy PVP so not sure why you keep bringing that up.

Pretty certain? You can be totally certain I haven't used that at "higher" gamestages because as I said, I refuse to use them at all while they are so OP. The REASON I fell they are so OP is that you can stand right in front of them while they shoot right thru you... Show me another weapon in the game that can do that. Go stand in front of a shotgun turret, or a dart trap and tell me what happens. Now why is the JUNK turret magically so much SMARTER than those? To me they're nothing but a huge exploit of the game physics mechanics.

This game can easily be abused and cheated in many ways, if that's the goal then people are going to do it no matter what. Taking out the turret wont change that, it just takes away another toy that some people quite enjoy playing with. The turrets fit in perfectly fine in a "Mad Max" type world where you scavenge the wasteland looking for parts to build what you need to survive.

I voted 4 for freedom and if freedom is too easy for you, raise the difficulty.
My sentiments exactly. I'm actually surprised there is even a poll for this.

I didn't find a junk turret until day 13 and like most people I loot and quest nonstop when starting out. I didn't find a level 5 Junk turret until much later and the other 6-7 were level 1's and 2's. So from my experience the drop rate seems ok.

I don't think the junk turret is OP. You need to add some mods and a couple of points in Turrets Syndrome to make it somewhat effective on horde nights. It helps but certainly doesn't stop the horde for me.

The cost for ammo seems fair to me. I burned through 1000 rounds of ammo in the day 70 horde which is 3000 iron. I like to loot and explore, not grind for iron. 3 iron for 1 ammo is just right IMHO.

I find the M60 quite powerful and useful, hopefully there won't be a poll to remove/nerf that next....

They work well very early game, not so much later. I voted to keep them. When are we getting the T800 tech tree?

Yes I know how polls work, I left my opinion and you challenged it so I defended it. You don't use the turrets nor do you need to, you only play single player so no worries about pvp etc. You simply want something removed or changed that other people enjoy playing with because you don't like it passively being in your game but I digress and respectfully disagree.

I suggest you go back thru this thread and see who the first person was to challenge the other's opinion. I posted TO THE OP. Not to you. YOU then quoted and responded to ME, not to the OP. Facts matter, try to use them.

I play single player, usually in experimental, and specialize in Intel. I dearly love my junk turrets. Unlike some here, I don't usually start using them a lot until after about level 40ish, when I've picked up a point or two and have a turret that's at least Tier 3. They really come into their own after gamestage 130 or so, and especially when you've got all 5 points spent and can use two at a time. Tier 6, modded with Rad remover, cripple em, barrel extenders, and drum mags are what keeps an Intel spec person alive and viable without having lots of points spent into other weapon types and are vital for Tier 5 missions. (I hate you, Shotgun Messiah Factory).

Now, I do like my pistols for POI fun, but once you start getting lots of radiated zombies, cops, and multiple other nasties, you really need the backup those turrets provide even without having reached 5 points spent. Please, do NOT nerf my sweet babies!!

This is a great point.... Junk turrets are an INT based character's ranged weapon. So when talking about balance, you have to compare it to other ranged weapons. Nerf them too hard, and you reduce the viability of an INT based build.

Just change the perk in the INT tree from "be able to craft turrets" to "be able to use and craft turrets" @lvl3. Then only INT characters can use them. No more OP crutches for other more powerful builds unless they invest in to INT a bit. Also fixes the realism a bit for those that care, since you gotta be a smart MacGyver type to pull it off.

Junk Turrets are totally OP. I don't think they should be removed but I felt I had to vote (1) because they are pretty much an exploit right now. If left in their current OP state yes they should absolutely be removed, but I'd prefer they were balanced. Considering they stun and stagger, take no Gunpowder for their ammo (seriously WTH????), need no power source (I assume they use 'Magic") and do not have friendly fire, can be upgraded with 4 extremely powerful mods, you cannot argue they are not ridiculously OP. Also being portable...sheesh, they are just so much better than every other Turret in the game by a wide margin.

Do you even realise how laughable this statement is? 3000 Iron for the day 70 horde; wow I bet that broke the bank.

The very fact their ammo takes no Gunpowder is why this comparison is ridiculous. But if you insist on making it....They are superior to every other ranged weapon in the game.

pneumatic firing exists for the lack of gunpowder, as does electromagnetism for railguns.

and he might have used normal ammo and traps....the 1000 rounds (3000 iron) could have been what his last ditch defense alone used, it would have been significantly more if it was junk turret focused

I wasn't saying the science behind them was hooky (though pneumatic and magnetic would still require power, right?) just that they are not remotely balanced with the other ranged weapons and turrets in the game that do require gunpowder/power/both.
