F.E.A.R. then I watch Happy! on Sci Fi network and reinstall Condemned: Criminal Origins.

So which would a FPS lover prefer between blood moons and base building F.E.A.R. or Condemned: Criminal Origins?

If you like gun play F.E.A.R. is unbeatable, however if you like Melee with bats and pipes then Condemned: Criminal Origins. To be honest I have replayed F.E.A.R. 3 times but Condemned: Criminal Origins twice, F.E.A.R even beats Thief: The Dark Project as I only played that 2 1/2 times I never finished the last run and Half Life 2 which I played twice, This is so very rare for me because unlike a movie or TV show, I have a hard time playing a game through more than once.

Is there a connection between the title of the thread and the original post? I've read through this post 3 times now which is rare for me. But my curiosity has me coming back and running through possible meanings...

LOL! I cant see the connection either, or the reason of this thread haha, is it to read his opinion on games unrelated on this forum and get other peoples opinions? lol

Heres my 2 cents anyway, don't know what you mean by 'base building F.E.A.R' but I did love that game. Just play whatever your feeling at the time lol.

I wanna know what that was all about.

I think OP is saying that watching certain other media causes him to revisit old games? And that due to the pandemic, commas are in very short supply. Lucky for him I had a whole bunch of parentheses saved up from an old LISP project and I was able to get commas at a 2:1 exchange rate. So I've got plenty of commas to lend.

So which would a FPS lover prefer between blood moons and base building, F.E.A.R., or Condemned: Criminal Origins?

Between the base building and blood moons, would you prefer F.E.A.R. or Condemned?

Well that was what I meant anyway. sorry for the typo, I usually go overboard with the commas so I try to use them sparingly. This also has nothing to do with 7 Days to Die or current events, I just recently installed these 2 games because they are my favorite FPS or at least top 5 and I usually have a hard time replaying old games but these are good enough to be replayed and I wanted to see if anyone else has played them and their opinion.

I have looked for the "off topic" forum and I cannot find it, so I posted it here.

Here is the video I watched of F.E.A.R. to get me to reinstall the game, the title of the video says it all

Condemned; Criminal Origins:

The show Happy has a part in it that looks exactly like a major level in the game, so that got me to reinstall it. After watching the video, I may be a tad bit weird for liking the game so much.

Unfortunately the games are not on sale right now at GOG or GamerGate and you can only get Condemned on steam.

Never heard of the condemned game but it looks neat.

Well I wished I posted this while it was on a steam sale, but you can add it to a wishlist or get it for $14.95 on steam now. If anyone is into getting F.E.A.R I would suggest getting on GOG https://www.gog.com/game/fear_platinum.

There are boatloads of Resident Evil fans out there but I have never been into them due to the use of a controller with fixed controls (which I hate in anything other than racing games), constant cut-scenes and usually third person perspective, so I always look for anything FPS or at least TPS with good keyboard and mouse controls and a lack of constant cut-scenes, Half Life and its sequel were great for the lack of cut scenes, keeping you immersed in the game.

I also played a lot of F.E.A.R. 2 years ago. The horror genre is one of the most demanding genres in terms of staging.

Like everything in our world - the game is not perfect. Her problems include several corridor locations, under-twisted in the middle and at the end of the game, suspense and hit the player, which are absolutely not felt. At the same time, F.E.A.R. still remains a very atmospheric, complex and from this interesting shooter, which is very nice to shoot. Despite the strange design of the weapon, oriented, perhaps, to the further distribution of the game on consoles. The best ideas in the genre were accumulated in it by that time, they were assembled and fitted correctly enough so that the game would not become obsolete to this day.

But 2 years ago it seemed to me just perfect:beaten:.

I think I've got it... after a whole day of running it around in my head.

The title should probably read something like "I haven't played this game for a while but after watching a few youtube videos and having seen the new features is it worth reinstalling the game and playing it again?".

Ahhhh, I see. I (and I think others) interpreted "between the base building and bloodmoons" as "with respect to base building and blood moons, which do you prefer F.E.A.R. or Condemned?"

What you meant was, "in the downtime when you are in between a base building session and a bloodmoon, looking for something else to play, would you prefer F.E.A.R. or Condemned?"

Makes perfect sense that way. Sorry for my density.

Its not that your dense, its that I have terrible grammar. When i passed my GED in 1997 I did well in everything but English, and I thought It was my best subject but they did not agree.

This is the only forum I post now, I was on the English Amiga Board when I was working on Gamebase Amiga but then I decided to get back into 7 Days to Die about 6 months ago and I was posting here about the game so I just posted some of my off topic posts here as well, but this would have been a topic better suited for the old off topic sub forum. I kind of miss that forum because I got some advice on new TV show and movies, and it just seems that these topics really do not come about in this section anymore.

Well they merged the forums so feel free to post the off-topic stuff here too. I'm sure with everybody kinda cooped up at home people will chit chat about whatever.

I'm pretty much a one- or two-game-at-a-time guy, maybe three if I'm feeling squirrelly. I prefer co-op so 7D2D is the main game (has been for months) as that's what my friend and I play together. Before that we played Division 2 a lot (console). Solo I've played some Witcher and Subnautica recently when I want to sit on the couch and play console. Usually I'll just browse Game Pass and find something that looks neat and play it for a few hours. 7D2D is my long-term relationship, the others are just flings. :-)

Well 7DTD is definitely an addictive game with its role playing elements, such as the use of a backpack and storage for item as well as crafting new items and of course base building which can some take time to get the right design and with almost unlimited possibilities to be creative when you do build your base. Most FPS game are not really addictive, they are do a level or two and take a break till later. Beside certain grand strategy games, role-paying games are the most addictive in my opinion and 7DTD has a lot of addictive role-playing elements in its game-play. Probably the reason for people having over a 1000 hours in the game, you cannot rack up that many hours on an FPS or racing game.
