  1. Yes, there are ways to deal with this ingame, i understand that. But the bottom line is that it is not fun to deal with this for me. That is the feedback i can offer. It was ok with books, but the huge number of different magazines added, makes a game element, that is typically not the focus point for fun in most games, namely inventory management, spill over into multiplayer. I'll just stick with singleplayer where i can focus on the gameplay that is fun for me.
  2. About magazines. Suppose you run a coop game with 2 players. You want to play together and do quests together. Basically everything you would do solo except side by side. (i've done this in previous alpha's). You don't loot more than if you were by yourself because you're running the same POI's with the same lootcontainers (except double quest rewards). Constantly keeping track what magazines you loot and who gets what seems much more tedious to me than it was in A20 (for example). There, we basically decided how we were gonna build or characters and who would spec into what. And that was it. This new way seems to way too tedious for me. It's fine for when i play singleplayer though. Edit: Also, total team progression isn't faster in coop this way and would probably be slower compared to singleplayer (because of how looting works) Am i alone in this? (This is besides having different playstyles trying to work together as described above where 1 player stays home - that has it's own problems like Gamida adressed)
  3. Yes, i could see that. Although in that case, rebalancing the amount needed to progress in the later stages might be smarter.
  4. Todays's B317 release brings some interesting balance changes. -Increased water filter cost. Dunno what exactly the thought behind that is, but i'm not sure it really affects me anyway. Money is still too easy to come by if you do quests. (personally i'd rather see a nerf to questing income). -Lowered the availability of crafting magazines. (book bundle appears less often, the bundle contains less books, and randomly found magazines have their loot chance reduced. Oh boy, looks like we're still progressing too fast guys. What's intended here, stone age tools through the first week? First 3 days? Honest question, because I'm curious. I'm fine with whatever really, although i would prefer a more prolonged game experience which it seems you guys are aiming for. Not sure i'm in the majority though.
  5. Yeah i can imagine that needs some tweaking
  6. I believe some streamers were playing with increased xp gains (up to 300%) so that would result in them being higher level than normal. Tradersstage (like gamestage en lootstage) is dependant on player level. That explains why you're seeing steelweapon at day 12ish. But it could still be in need of further tweaks of course.
  7. About the crafting books/levels. The release notes mention "each level of a perk will give a probability boost to certain magazines.". Is that boost at the cost of looting chance for other magazines? (i.e. the weights are more shifted towards the perks you have selected) What happens when you max out a crafting tree? Will you still continue to find those magazines at the 'boosted level'? Or will the perk effect deactivate and your chances will be reset to default? The latter seems preferable to me.
  8. Yeah, in the last couple of Alpha's i've kept playing my experimental save after Stable dropped with no issues. I would expect it to be the same now.
  9. Yeah same for me. Thanks for bringing back memories of "Forge Ahead!" Roland At that time, i think most people went to certain POI's that had a high chance of a working Forge instead of trying to loot that book. And when traders became a thing, soon after i started to build my base next to them. Really havent looked back after that, but that is a combination of learning to build my own POI faster/better (and more modular), and having a ingame incentive to do so (having a questgiver and trader right next door).
  10. That's right. Build a horde base in a empty part of a Tier5 POI and enjoy a higher lootstage when looting those bags after hordenight.
  11. Funnily enough, I believe that you get a lootstage bonus if you set up your base in a High Tier POI right now. So technically you could argue you're incentivized to build your base in POI. Correct me if i'm wrong.
  12. So I'm running a new PC compared to when i ran A19. Ryzen 5900x + 32GB + 3060Ti. I don't 'remember' there being this much a of a hitch sometimes. Though that is just that, I don't *remember* it. But if the hitch is THIS bad on my current machine, hopefully that is something you can optimize further...
  13. Also happens when looting sometimes. (Also see that hitch on Youtubers video's as well so it's not just me) This hitch wasn't in A19 for me.
