  1. What will be taken out the game in A22? stop simplifying everything, this started with the console release back then changing from the old crafting system that used a grid to a simplified 5 ingredient click craft menu was a bad choice getting rid of rebar that needed wood for you to pour concrete blocks,, why?! chopping wood for logs, making planks out of them. remember? needing a mold to cast ingots... the abscence of water bottles and that messed up magazine skill system. what is wrong with learning by doing? also stuff you craft is worth less than the ingredients on their own when selling at the trader, if you dont want people to use traders just get rid of them. this game is getting better and worse at the same time
  2. Next case we had: it got stuck as mentioned above. i asked in chat who had a quest that didnt start, the player in question did a relog and 30sec later it unfroze and everything behaved normally.
  3. Apparently, the game has a bug that causes certain areas to pause / get stuck. When it happes, following things will happen in that particular area or the whole server: Trader only offer "Buried supplies" quests. dropped items dont fall, but when they do, they fall trough the map. blocks dont fall, they become a falling object but stay in mid-air. zombies dont spawn, but can be spawned via commands (usually via /gimme) or trough buried supply quests, but wont move. allready spawned zombies dont move, but can be killed. a ragdolled zombie will fall trough the map. vehicle momentum is preserved, when you bail a driving vehicle it freezes instantly. when you get back on, you are instantly at speed again. zombies that are in a "active" area behave properly, move, attack etc. but once they enter the "paused" / "stuck" area, they instantly freeze. you can find the area border by placing wood frames until they collapse, in the frozen area they stay mid air, the active area will drop them as usual. everything else works fine: you can dig you can join/leave/ teleport you can craft, drive vehicles, kill and get killed loot will spawn, buried supplies will spawn dropped (floating) items can be picked up etc. we try to find the cause of the issue.. this effect sometimes happen on the whole server or some areas only. usually a restart fixes this issue, but it sometimes also gets unstuck by itself. but we couldnt figure out why. Someone reported that bug in the bug tracker at some point, he found that screamers spawned en mass for him. we disabled screamers, this didnt fix the issue. we also never had screamers spawn this much in our case. Also, Sometimes, when a players takes a quest, activates it the marker just disappears and it says "head to rally point" top right this problem appears. when he reconnects and activates the same quest again, it might unstuck the server. but we couldnt reproduce this 100%.. when he cancells the quests in this case, it doesnt seem to unstuck the problem. Another possibility could be the AI Throttling feature of A21, that it might "pause" or slow down that area for some reason without unpausing it. That the trader only shows buried supplies might indicate a stuck thread that scans towns for valid pois that can be quested. it never appeared in experimental b313, but in stable it happens multiple times per day. player count independend (happened once at 2 players.. sometimes with 30+..), at random, out of nowhere. Whats your take on that? Have you encountered that problem? What have you tried to fix it or have you found the solution?
  4. Unfourtainly, theres no obvious way to reproduce it.   5. sometimes, someones mic turns on even without ever hitting the voice chat key we even had one time that everyone in a party had its mic turned on. even with voice chat completely disabled in settings. the speaker doesnt see on the upper left that he is actually speaking, but everone nearby and in the party can listen and see that hes speaking. to turn it off, we have to tell them to hit the voice chat key once. this doesnt work when voice chat is disabled, you still speak but you cant stop it by hitting V. Remeber, EVEN WITH VOICE CHAT TURNED OFF and never hitting V (voice chat key) the microphone turns on and makes everyone hear what you doing. this is a serious privacy issue that persists since the new party voice chat has been added. (20.4 and 20.5) probably even illegal in some countries. the only real fix right now is to set your input device to something thats mute all the time, unplug / hardware-disable your microphone if not used probably related warnings, contains LibRTCCore which is related to the EOS voice chat and a audio sample rate warning why even all that epic online services stuff? get rid of it, it only caused harm so far. no gains, if necessary get rid of eac and use something else.
  6. a profile "fixer" is needed badly, going from 20.3 to 20.4 caused the ttp issue, now in 20.5 with the "fix" theres a bunch of profiles that wont load or just straight up crash the server. resetting profiles is just no option. you cant import them all to single player to run that super secret fixing algorithm, theres quite a few. how about implementing it in dedicated servers aswell? or at least make a external program that converts them.
  7. my plan? Imagine this: works like a screamer, finite uses, craftable. i just cant figure out how to summon an enemy group by rightclicking (action1). preferably light xml modding, no ressources or (manager)scripts. quests.xml has "SpawnGSEnemy" for spawning, but i cant just move it over to item.xml and expect it work.. any ideas? also any infos on what action classes are available to play with? (besides Repair, Ranged, DynamicMelee, ReplaceBlock etc.) a proper documentation would be nice.

You can check in resource monitor (enter "resmon" in windows search and hit enter) what files are accessed on which drive at the moment, maybe there you see which one it might be. you might have a automatic pagefile on it, it gets used once your system RAM gets full to offload. usually indiacted by read/writing to a file called pagefile.sys you can disable this by following this guide: https://docs.us.sios.com/dkse/8.6.4/en/topic/disable-automatically-manage-paging-file-size-for-all-drives when disconnecting the HDD, your pagefile might move to your SSD (not great, but better than on HDD). to prevent a pagefile from being used/getting large, you might need to add some more RAM. i once had a defective HDD, it didnt had any system or steam library on it but it still bogged down my computer. after removing it, it went to normal again. yours might be defective. consider making a backup before its too late.
  9. @Alloc maybe default disabled and re-enabled when needed. when someone digs into a lake or his mine collapses, theres so much going on. even the best optimization wont gain much performance, thats why it would be helpful to see where its happening so server operators can delete / work on those chunks / regions before people leave because its too laggy.

Hello Alloc, would it be possible to add a physics map / log that logs the physics activity on chunks / regions on the map? basically count for blocks that transform into block falling in a particular region / chunk and write it down somewhere every few minutes. We have constantly players that let mines and buildings collapse, lagging the whole server. But its quite hard to find out who is going that and where. That would be very helpful.
