  1. The only problem with Linux is that the mods I have may not be compatible. I think the suggestion of Server 2019 is a solid one. I was only going with Win 10 because that's the initial OS I own for the hardware. I am in the understanding that each of them will be a different IP. I may have to look into how ESXi is going to display these. I want to thank all three of you for your suggestions. Truly appreciated. It seems I have some testing ahead of me. For the record, my plan for the 4 instances of 7D2D is this Server #1: Main server PVE Server #2: Main Server PVE (The difference between server 1 & 2 is map age. Meaning, rather than dealing with players upset over a map reset, I can leave the last map up while others migrate to the new map) Bandwidth should be about the same due to a split of players Server #3: PVP (A complete copy of the most recent PVE map from either server 1 or two) - Copied over once a week overwriting the current PVP on Server #3 Server #4: Test server -Dino
  2. I have plans to install 4 Win 10 instances using ESXi (friend's suggestion and he is helping me install it) because I am completely familiar with RDP (as well as Win10). From my understanding, I can utilize a full Win10 License with ESXi. I did look into Hyper-v and it seemed it had a 45 day window. I have not looked into XCP-ng, VMWare Server or Hyper-V. It really comes down to that I'd rather work with something familiar and (in my eyes) stable. That said, I have altered my main server during some port testing and it cannot be joined if I do not open up the additional UDP ports of 26901-26902. So, if I change the <property name="ServerPort" value="26900"/> I am unsure what to do with the additional UDP ports as they cannot be defined in the serverconfig.xml file.
  3. HELP! Can anyone explain the port needs to me? I have a blade server with 4 different Win10 instances and dedicated games of 7D2D. I want to have each of them on a different port at the same router's external IP address. I see plenty of info on setting up ports for 1 dedicated server. I cannot find anything on setting up multiple ones This is normally what I see online TCP/UDP 26900 UDP 26901-26902 TCP 8080-8082 and 8080 for the web panel
  4. Is there a help to explain to my users how the mod works? I ask because for door, for instance, it looks like you can build it but has a symbol of a hammer and we're not sure what workstation that is. Thank you!
  5. But it's the server that does not have the prefabs. I have been running Compo since they came out and this server for almost 7 years. I never saw these errors in the server log. Plus, if the server itself does not know the prefab. How does it know how large it is?
  6. HELP! I've got about 8 hours on this and I am unaware why I am seeing so many load errors on prefabs. Don't want to read? Video of the problem captured here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0MDzbOHUpcQ I am using dedicated server at my location. Prefabs from compo were copied into: C:\steamcmd\steamapps\7_days_to_die\Data\Prefabs Does it need to be elsewhere when running a dedicated server? The map *does* seem to run. Prefabs from Compo does *not* have a file named "xvanilla_ranger_station1"
  7. Pile, By chance is there an AAA_A16_TO_A17_CONVERSION_HELPER file available? I have some older POIs and they are a complete mess. Maybe if there is also a A15 to A16. I have some *really* old ones, too. Thanks!
  8. I imported that version and in all honesty, I can actually work with that. I am curious about using the in game converter on some other pois I have created like the arena I created. I cannot seem to find any info on it. Is there a document out there to explain the process?
  9. My POIs may be older than I imagined. I found that early editors show the blocks and modern ones do not. It shows either no blocks or sometimes just some of the land. The version I am comparing are 0.2 and 0.7 I'm looking to convert this POI I made of my house in real life: https://www.dropbox.com/s/st50t6owkk2meyx/aft_home%284%29.zip?dl=0 Here is a video of my house in real life. I think you can see why I'd like to convert the work I did.
  10. I tried searching for a thread where I can find a rule map (.rules) for use with the editor. Specifically looking to convert 17.0 to 17.2 Is there such a thread or is that right here? If this is the place, has anyone made a .rules for converting pois yet? I have some personal ones I would love to change over, Thanks!
  11. Same error, unfortunately. It happened when I was in the application, it reminded me that there was an update. I closed out of the program and hit the update button. relaunched and have not been able to run the program since I tried looking into replacing the kernel32.dll but my computer has it in multiple locations and I am unsure which one yours uses. Would you know? Thanks in advance, -Dino
  12. After updating to the latest editor, I cannot run it anymore. Seeing this error on a Win 2008 with 18 gigs or ram. Tried the following without success Delete the zombie directory and reinstalled Win updates Installed (a suggested from the web) dxwebsetup.exe Rebooted I even tried older versions of the editor. None of them work now
