  1. With respect to all, there are a lot of considerations of both sides here. I can appreciate the developer looking out for the interests of its paying customers by advising against anything that is hidden or suspicious. But those words carry some dangerously heavy weight, too. The modding communities, bot developers, etc. are very important to the developers and the broader community. If it becomes a back and forth like this (as I have seen in other games) it will kill the game off. Communities run the servers and promote the game. They offer ideas and are the catalyst to evolution. I really hope Prisma doesn't walk away from this project (and the community who GREATLY appreciates his work). That would be a loss to everyone. Including the developers. My 2c.
  2. The Bear Jew, inc... xD
  3. Try Amazon or NewEgg. NewEgg isn't always the cheapest, but I've found them to be pretty consistent with pricing. It may work out to be cheaper to get a memory kit rather than adding a single stick, depending on your setup. Playing this game with mods (and most games these days) with at least 16GB is pretty much a necessity now. Best of luck!
  4. Hey, jotek! It's likely a RAM issue as others have pointed out. Though technically it should still work with 8GB of RAM. Are you getting any errors? Feel free to hop in our Discord to seek help from other players. http://www.tsugaming.com/voice
  5. The bickering won't get us anywhere. I do agree this is an issue that should be looked into (or pressed more). I've played other mods and it hasn't been as noticeable. But since I don't know much about what's going on under the hood, I'm not going to pretend to and start pointing fingers. It's just that the bag lag does cause some significant problems in practical situations (loot movement, weapon switching, etc.). Basically whenever you try to go a quick bag/belt swap or get caught off guard, you're pretty much screwed until it releases you. I've seen players die as a direct result of nothing more than the bag lag. So I've told them to compensate by only getting into their bag in safe areas. It'd just be nice to not have that concern as in most other mods and in vanilla.
  6. A few of my regulars checked out Ravenhearst and enjoyed it, so I've put up a server for them. Jax, I think you and your team have done a nice job of adding variety and depth. Well done. I wish you the best in future developments of the mod. My server is TsuGaming.com | Ravenhearst Mod A16.4 | PVE. 32 player PVE w/ CBSM. We have 4-5 regulars already and hope to recruit more players to the mod. You can view the CBSM site at https://tgn6.envul.com or our website http://www.TsuGaming.com (Ravenhearst info coming soon). One bit of feedback I already have - which I'm sure you've heard about enough already - is the bag lag. Hopefully that can be resolved quickly as that is the only major bug/issue I've noted so far.
  7. My question was answered on Discord. In case in helps others, the answer is that this is normal, as it only means these limits are applied to the wilderness biome.
  8. <prefab name="PowerPlant" max_count="1" /> <prefab name="pacco_settlement" max_count="1" /> <prefab name="bandit_refinery" max_count="1" /> Is this normal?
  9. Thanks for trying, dude. I appreciate it. I'll look into StompyNZ's mod. With regard to player data, I suppose I could play with it - I was just curious if anyone had tried successfully. Players aren't fond of starting from scratch. Some don't mind - but if you have to do it often because of updates it gets discouraging.
  10. Two more questions: 1. Is there a way to admin spawn a power plant? Or are you strictly at the mercy of RGW at initial generation and "it is what it is" from then on? 2. Is there any way to take the character data of one server (ie. your developed skills/qualities) and import that to a new world?
  11. Thanks, I'll have to look into this rwgmixer.xml further. I used the instructions provided by the Starvation team: download the mod tool and deploy from there. As for regular crossbows shooting through trussing: it does work. I tested it immediately after noting the advanced crossbow does not. Thanks guys. If anyone else has info to add - PLEASE, I am all ears!
  12. Two questions: 1. Advanced crossbow can't shoot through trussing (and presumably other similar blocks). Will this be addressed in future releases? Or is this behavior intentional? 2. On our server (created at 16.3 and updated to 16.4), I can't find any power plants or NPCs/bandits other than fishermen. What gives? The seed is conservative and within standards - nothing wild about it. So I can't imagine something as dramatic as this would be caused by a normal seed. Imagine my surprised when I spend time getting people to try out Starvation only to find out a couple of weeks into their time that they don't have the advanced features of the game in our server. Can this be fixed? Any way to confirm? What's the resolution?
  13. Thank you for the clarification. https://github.com/StarvationTeam/StarvationServer is what I was looking for (in addition to your answer about the launcher). Thanks again.
  14. As I have not seen specific instructions for server deployment, I'm assuming this launcher is what is being used to roll out the mod on the server as well? I'm not having any luck getting the launcher to change directory paths on the server. Every time I select an alternate folder it does not update the path and therefore I cannot apply any changes to it. I've got to be doing something wrong. Please point me in the right direction. I'm trying to host my own Starvation server. Server 2016 Datacenter. Already have files downloaded (parallel to other 7D2D instances). I have advanced IT experience so be as geeky as you'd like. ty sir
