We unlocked the crucible before day 21. The books make it really easy to get those types of things quick, 75 workstation books came super quick.

Im on day 22, building our first real horde base. We see the steel blocks are a thing. Why make a base out of concrete when steel is so much better and just easier to make?

yes. Ive had issues with a few pois switches not being interactable. Destroying them with a pickaxe caused the spawns to trigger.

I have 50 or 60 minute days I forget which. The bags despawn after a few minutes.

I play with 1 person, so me and another player. We can do 1-6 depending on the tier and how thorough we are with looting, if another trader is near we can ru nto them, Sometimes we focus on the loot room and run through. By day 14 we're on tier 5 quests, thats with doing most pois once before we start the quest. We would loot most containers and then start the quest, wed do around 4 a day. Thats 8 if you account for the fact that it counts for each of us, so we each get loot from those 4 quests.

I want to see a nice mix. I do wish some stuff was learn by doing. Like if Im running all over the place I wish my stamina consumption while running would get a bit better just by doing it. But the way we had it in a16 was boring, you sat in a corner and crafted stuff often, breaking them down when your inventory was full and starting again. The books are a bit weird, Just did day 14 and I have 97 cooking. I have all the workbenches except the last one in the category (cant remember which it is right now) and my other books are following the same path. I feel like im advancing too fast in many ways. But for the books to work at all the entire game needs a balance, a major one. I have a tier 3 machine gun and im still only able to craft pipe ones. We have found steel weapons and armor before we are ever able to craft them. The trader is overbalanced and needs huge adjustment. The current system would work a lot better if by day 14 two people werent in steel with books approaching max quite easily.

Anyone have any suggestions for a lootable horde night base? My absolute favorite base used to be a small pit with turrets, blade traps, and holes for us to shoot through. We could loot quite a bit and access the traps from the bottom to repair throughout the night. We built our entire base below it (a lot of digging lol) and the occasional zombie would fall into our pit and activate the motion sensors. With digging the base doesnt work well anymore but I do miss the ability to loot much of the bags that drop with my current designs. If it matters one of us is using machine guns and bats, the other pistols and knives. Picture appreciated

Anyone have some pictures of their horde base that allows for looting during the horde night? We have 2 people, and are willing to do quite a bit. All my bases since digging became a thing have mostly been about staying as far from the zombies as possible, but I really want to loot throughout the night at least somewhat.

Water physics dont really work, they're almost non existent.

yea. we figured out what it was. We didnt realise theres a building block and a wood block. THe building block is able to be picked up

huh, I just tried andit didnt work. My material stays the dark brown wood and it will not let me pick it up at all. Nevermind, we figured it out. Theres a wood block and a building block. Building block is pickupable, we didnt realise there were two different block sets

Now that wood frames ( I think it was actually a20) are no longer able to be picked up what do you use to measure spaces out? I used to use the frames to mark out what I wanted to do :l

If nests now disappear when you empty them how do you keep getting eggs? Do nests respawn? or will the trader become the only way to get them?

thanks wanted to make sure I wasnt missing something. I havent paid much attention to the development, just checked in occasionally. I didnt even realise a21 was out until I happened to open steam today xD

Are looting and the dew collector the only ways to get water now? I found a few bottles in loot, and I see the dew collector in the workbench section.
