  1. Exactly! I love turning environment sounds up it truly pulls you into the game. I Fallout I actually loved that in heavy weather I could not hear enemy footsteps so well and had to rely on my sight more. (In Fallout I used some weather mods as well) At the moment I have this volume toggle at 10-20%, because I can't stand the non-environmental sinistaer sound samples. Just the other day I turned it up again because it was weird not hearng the rainfall but turned it back down in 10 minutes because the sinister sound clips took me out of the game. Separate toggle please! I thing those sounds are nice I you like this type of sound effects, but I alwauys turn music and theme sounds and non-environmental stuff off and only leave environmet sounds. To me, it's the most immersive experience.
  2. YES PLEASE! What we actually could use is a sepparate volume control for these artificial weird "sinister atmosphere" samples. Ambient sounds increase immersion, those "sinister atmosphere" samples take it away. I would prefer dithching them all and improving on ambient sounds of the actual environment (the sounds that make senses to be there).
  3. When I turn up 'ambient sound volume', there are also those stupid random audio clips that get repetitive VERY soon and have nothing to do with the environment (wind, trees, rain, lightning etc.). I love the environmental sounds but I never want to hear the random immersion disturbing clips agan. Is it possible to turn them off sepparately from environmetal sounds? If it's not, it should be! If someone could guide me how to hack them off somehow, I would appreciate it! Cheers!
  4. I propose: QUEST HORDE NIGHT! How it works: You get a quest at a POI. Once you activate the quest you can't leave the POI premises or you will lose the quest. When the night comes, it triggers the horde night. Complete if: don't leave premises and survive the night Fail if: leave premises or die Rewards: Since it requires wasting resources, it could give better reward, or mayby multiple rewards at quest return. The quest should use only smaller POIs so it's not possible to just ignore the horde. At harder difficulties it could utilise POIs that are weaker to increase difficulty (burnt down and only wooden houses fro example). - - - - - - - - - PS. I havent had time to read the forums much the last few years so if this exact idea was already posted here before or you just strongly dislike the idea, then I guess it's too bad for you! Muahahaha!
  5. I was just referring to the ability VTOL (vertical take-off and landing) that a helicopter or a drone can do. The forward motion is the thing that makes everybody fly like crazy. Todays scrap can yield loads of microchips that handle four-corner-propeller balancing and hovering.
  6. https://twitter.com/7DaystoDie/status/1517610798608175105/photo/1 Nice trader location! The helipad looks useful. Maybe it makes sense to replace the gyrocopter with a drone-type helicopter thing? The gyro is less fun and looks bad because ppl keep flying through trees and chrashlanding them because it's less than ideal controllability.
  7. I had a "clear POI" quest and one zombie fell inside the concrete floor. I had pretty hard time killing it to complete the quest.
  8. I dislike that it is totally unintuitive. In order to not give up on farming and disregard it as broken you now need to know the math of how it works.
  9. Ok. The trader popped back up again. I hope this desn't hapopen any more because, every time that happens you can't turn in the quest. The return ing marker is where the trader used to be and the trader just offers you a new job. It's quite weird that turning in the quest is somehow disconnected from the trader entity...
  10. Is there any way to reset his location without resetting progress? On a similar topic, my character has started falling through terrain a few times but eventually ended up not faaling all the way through. It happened when running on foot. Maybe a loading issue. I used the game launcher to delete previous game data and did a "clean" install - as clean as it is doing it this way. The game has no mods and map is random generated...
  11. ECHO! Echo... Echo... echo... echo.. echo. (echo) . . . What's up with the dead forums?
  12. After stepping in a dark room you eyes adjust and you start seeing a bit better. So it is exactly the opposite of realistic. That's why it feels so unnatural and it's why I brought it up.
  13. I'm not sure how I feel about the new 4 slot clothing/armor direction. The new concepts look cool and the set bonus sounds interesting. But having less outfit slots means less mods - means less choice. It makes the whole clothing system simpler. Players are directed toward most-will-play-like-this prototypes. Less in-between characters. At the moment you are ghathering armor/clothing parts as incremental upgrades and moving your mods between them to best suit yout character. The set bonus might make finding most outfit items boring, as you now are looking for ONE specific set. (...as there are less mod slots and some important mods are already hardcoded into a specific set) To me, this is the first time it feels like something meaningful is being dumbed down. It sure will look better but I've never liked "graphics over gameplay" so to speak. Feel free to convince me I'm wrong!
  14. Ok, I see. Then, is there any way to make the inside of a building that is darker also appear darker form outside? (...so it wouldn't change when stepping in)
  15. I saw the indoors darkening effect in the stream. Any chance this gets taken out? It really feel more like a bug than a feature. You can see clearly what's inside a store and after 2 steps your screen dims to complete black. And if the POI has some areas where you go in and out a lot or there's a hole in the roof, your bightness keeps waving up and down. I don't believe it adds much to the game, rather takes away and feels like something is broken in the lighting tech.
