  1. Yea, I noticed this "bug" during my last horde night. Luckily, my desert vulture, 3 shots them to the body with rank 5 of the gunslinger perk. The whole point is to snipe them before they get to your base because they do tons of block damage with just their meat mitts. I really hope this is a bug and not intended. TFP really need to get out of this whole "design against the player" mentality kick. Spawning Zs behind you in rooms you already cleared, area triggers to break sneak. Oh you perked into sniper rifles? Too bad. You can't head shot demos from less than 3 blocks away. Why even give us the perks if you intend to make them useless? Seems like it is intentional though. Since the hitbox just magically starts working when they get close. There have been head hitbox bugs before, but none of them seemed to be range dependent before.
  2. For hordes, I tend to just build a single block hallway about ten blocks long. I elevate it by two blocks so the zombies path down the hallway directly at me. Once I get access to electric fences, I put those across the path. Then I shoot every single zombie in the head. It's cheap. It's simple. I don't really consider it to be cheese because if I run out of ammo, I'm pretty much dead. Which has happened before. It's cool if you want to spend all kinds of time trying different blocks trying to exploit zombie behavior. That's just not how I roll. No fall traps, no guns, darts or blades to steal my XP. It actually scales pretty well into the late game because it allows you to easily shoot demos in the head and avoid the button. Just don't run out of ammo or you are gonna have a bad time.
  3. Thank you. As you can see from the picture. The location is listed on all coordinates as NaN. In computer speak that means Not A Number. It is banished to the shadow realm I am afraid. Thankfully, I didn't have anything in it I care about. I never had a problem with a drone before, but I have seen some strange problems with them on other peoples videos. So I never put anything in them I am not willing to lose. Thanks for the command info.
  4. For some reason during my last play session my junk drone just disappeared. I tried flying around looking for it between the path I had taken and the place I last saw it. Nothing. I tried re-logging and still nothing. I did note this in the startup info in console. I'm not sure how to fix this. I tried giving myself another drone but the game wont let me place it. It says I have reached the limit. I get that it is gone. No big deal. But how do I reset the number of drones attached to my character to zero? Or how do I reset the position of it to somewhere close to my character so I can go get it?
  5. It gets even worse. In this new update, cloth armor at blue craftable level, now only gets two mod slots and purple three. Did they nerf scrap armor the same you ask? Not a chance mate! Still three mod slots at blue and four for purple. I haven't even checked the weapons. Too depressing to think about. Since I had to use a blue primitive bow for about ten days until I could buy a yellow wooden one. The third mod slot certainly helped out with the damage. I also had to use a purple bone knife for about fifteen days because even with three points into knife guy, every hunting knife I could buy or could find, was way worse. I finally bought a blue machete that I have been using since then and I was only able to craft a blue machete on day 39. Making the whole parts and magazine collection process, completely pointless. Same goes for the bows. I had to buy a blue compound cross-bow to get anything better than the yellow wooden bow. I still cant craft compound cross-bows at all at day 40 with 3 points into the bow perk. I did get to make an SMG, but its still worse than the purple AK I got on like day five. So there is no point using it either. Nerf agility more Pimps. Amazing reasoning going on over there right now. Is totally broken quests that you can't complete considered a major bug? Because you still can't complete the drive-in quest. I have heard of others but I have not run into them yet.
  6. Try playing the agility class if you really want to see the game masters get insidious. At first, it's kinda nice. So everyone says sneak is OP. Well, that ends quickly. It seems like the POI designers hate the agility perk tree. They have doubled down on volume triggers. Now there is always a trap in just about every POI that is designed to throw you're glass cannon stealth build with light armor and single fire, low ammo, slow reload, weapons into the exact situation that your character is not designed for. There is absolutely no way that a guy in yellow leather armor (if you're lucky) with a crap bow and the worst pistol known to man, can kill three glowing bikers, a couple feral white, and a half dozen standard feral zombies, in a tiny room that you have forced them to enter. The class relies on killing from stealth to multiply the damage your weapon can do in order to kill the very enemies your are throwing at the player and then you intentionally remove the very ability to do so. That isn't even the half of it. There is now rubbish piles on at least thirty percent of the floor tiles. I understand strategic placement, but absolutely covering the floor of every POI in rubbish is lazy and designed to punish one class only. I have done hundreds of POIs now. I am forced to use automatic weapons and adopt a play style that my character has no perks for in order to just stay alive inside any POI past a tier 2. There are a lot of these kinds of traps even in tier 1 POIs. They just consist of a couple of slow walker pedestrian zombies that you could handle even if you were naked. In my opinion, that is where there types of traps belong. In a tier 5 infested POI, with that kind of zombie trap, you are literally giving a middle finger to agility class. There are at least five of that exact type of volume trigger in the Sham Factory alone now.
  7. In my opinion, this is better. Build 4 dew collectors. Forget water forever.
  8. Imagine this guy's surprise when he finds out a T1 Iron Spear is essentially useless compared to a T5 Stone one. The speed of progression might be off a bit but the actual progression being broken is a far worse issue if you ask me. Still, TPF will fix it. They always do. That is the reason for play testing. Until then, if you aren't the kind of person who is willing to deal with these issues then you should wait until stable. I'm not saying that you shouldn't make your voice heard. I'm just fairly confident that they will fix it. Because they always have in the past. So if you see a bug or something that doesn't seem right, don't get your pitchforks out. Just make your case and try to be chill about it.
  9. As predicted, because my luck is pure trash, I have no Bob's Boars POIs on my random gen world at all. I've got two supercorn seeds that I got from bundle crates. It seems pretty rare to get supercorn in those bundles because I have been watching all the Lets Plays from the usual people and so far none of the farm bundles they have opened have had supercorn. So my next three points go into LOTL and we'll see if I get screwed or not. This is exactly why the 50% seed return is not going to work. I'm telling you right now. This has the potential to screw people. You have recipes that use supercorn now also. I have found the schematics for them. You can spec into them. Imagine spending points on them and not getting any supercorn ever because TFP decided to take RNG too far. Better not ever admit a mistake. It's a sign of weakness. Sure makes me want to play some more.....🙈 🙉 🙊
  10. Not exactly. Can you guarantee that every random gen map will have a Carl's Corn POI? In A19, I had several worlds without. I asked this question already and got no answer. Super corn is the only reason to farm at all. There is so much meat out there, I already have three stacks on day six. I am not even going out of my way to get it. I am just killing the animals I see and the ones the game throws at me. Like the day four wolf horde that showed up at my base. If you couldn't survive on meat then this whole farming business is extra harsh because you would have to put your first six points in the game into farming just to stay alive. By the time you get any kind of glue farm established, you won't even need it anymore. You will have already struggled to boil down every bone you can find to make the things you needed the glue for a long time since. This also kinda screws people that would rather have a small farm on the roof of their base. Now you need a considerably bigger farm than before. Roughly twice the size. So the usual 7x7 plot I plant on top of my base will have to be 14x14 now. That ain't gonna fit on my roof.
  11. Statement 1. False: Not all maps have a Bob's Boars POI. I have had three random maps in A19 that had no such POI. I even looked up the name for it in the wiki and searched for it in the XML. Not there. So you MUST find a seed for super corn in this case. So you guarantee that there will be a Bob's Boars POI on every single random gen map now? Statement 2. False: If I only have one seed, and plant it with only one point into LOTL, then I don't get a seed back on harvest, that is not a profit. That is a deficit of one and pretty much no chance to ever find another super corn seed based on the above scenario. RNG in this case is lazy and frustrating for the player. Why would you intentionally include a frustrating mechanic in your game when you could easily find other ways to accomplish your goal of slowing down farming? There is no benefit in investing a single point into LOTL when one could put that point into the animal spotting perk and pretty much guarantee being fed. Let's just add 50% RNG to everything. Might as well add a 50% chance for the player to just spawn into a game over screen. You could really get that replay stat up with a strategy like that. I know, 50% chance for every round fired from a pipe weapon to blow the weapon up. Forcing you to make another. That sounds like loads of fun. Still better than the chance that you guys will learn how shotguns work, or to realize that there is a reason that you don't see guns with a tube magazine chambered in a caliber that has pointy bullets. In all my years of working around firearms, repairing them and selling them, I have seen exactly one tube mag gun chambered in a caliber that used a pointy bullet. The tube magazine was actually twisted down the long axis to keep the pointy end of one bullet off of the primer of the one in front. Clever design.
  12. What if you only have one seed? What if you don't get one back? Too bad? Some crops are not easy to come by. Like I have had several random gen worlds where there was no Carl's Corn POI on the entire map. I looked in the XML and it just wasn't there. The only choice is to get a seed from loot in that case. Finding new ways to make your perk points worthless is not my idea of a well designed mechanic.
  13. Indeed. Those pipe weapons look awesome. I can already see my self doing runs where I am only allowed to use pipe weapons. Or a theme run like a cowboy run. Look, at that, there is already a revolver available from the start of the game now. I just wish it was single action. Seems to me like it should be. A single action revolver is a lot easier to improvise than a dual action one. I get the magnum should be dual action because that style of revolver is dual action. The pipe version should be single action. Maybe later they could add a fan fire ability in gunslinger.
  14. This was a mistake. Not having to replant the entire garden every time was a feature. If you want to slow down crops, make them take longer to grow. The whole RNG and replant thing is bad design. There was a reason farming was changed so we didn't have to replant each time. Because it isn't fun and it isn't necessary. They already grow at a pace that is comically fast anyway. At least they did in A19. There is no reason to force us to replant and then give some trash RNG. The other system was better, even if it was too fast.
  15. Here is the thing. You can spend all the extra points and put the mobility mods in, and you are still losing stamina and slower. You act like you can't wear a college jacket with padded armor, but you can. For PVP though, there are certain considerations. You would want to be able to take at least one hit before you die. In the single player though, I just don't think it is worth it. I'm not the kinda person that is going to let the zombies just wail on me. I eat less, I run faster and farther and my stamina regens way faster. I was able to do four level two quests between two traders today and dig up a treasure map and made 17000 dukes to buy a motorcycle because I didn't see it in his stash until the last day before he changed. We are talking day six. I did all of that on foot and started with almost zero dukes because I have been spending it on stupid stuff like books that aren't even a major benefit to my class.😆 I also bought a grey pistol. Probably wouldn't have been able to do it without that. I was kickin in doors and blasting like it was COD. Managed to only get hit a few times and never got injured.
